Frequently Asked Questions

Who the shell are you?

So who's behind the creepy masks? Stanford MBA graduates? Anonymous activists? Botnet controllers? Elon Musk?

Nope! Sorry to disappoint. We are just engineers with proper full-time jobs in the industry, that spend their spare time coming up with ideas that can be turned into t-shirt designs. We also do other stuff, like contributing to open-source projects, attending conferences, etc. Apart from that, we are people that enjoy little things in life like beer, a steak, sex, nmap, tcpdump, an evening playing retro games, the Linux kernel, a good sci-fi movie and code that compiles without warnings.

We try to make our products less simplistic than the usual things you find out there (e.g. lame jokes about HTML tags or the "There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary and those who dont" motto). We aim for smarter designs that only people like you would understand. Of course, we don't always get it right, but we try our best.

Apart from that, we publicly support a number of causes. Examples include net neutrality, open source software, the right to use strong cryptography, freedom of speech, LGBT rights, protection against State surveillance or fair access to knowledge and education.

We hope you like our products. We always welcome any feedback, so please reach out to us if you have thoughts. Thanks! 0-Day Clothing

What about your products?

All the items we sell have been created by us, so they are 100% 0-Day Clothing originals (if that means anything).

Our designs are meant to be very very technical (things only people like you would get), always referencing cool concepts in security, computing, networking, cryprography, etc. By the way, we don't stock anything. Our products are printed on demand, just for you, everytime you order. This makes this a bit more manageable for us, and lets you choose a lot of different colors or fully customize what you're buying.

Note that we don't place any branding stuff on our t-shirts. We only have two or three designs that include our logo, but we removed the word "clothing" from it, so it just says "0-day", like in "0-day exploit", which is way cooler. We do this because we don't see our customers as a free advertising platform, even though we could really use some free advertising.

We hope you enjoy our products. Most probably they won't help you meet the man/woman of your dreams but at least you'll look decent when you go to Defcon or the next local 2600 meeting.

Btw, we are always looking for feedback and new ideas so if you have good ones or you think we should change anything, please tell us.

How much does shipping cost?

It's hard to tell without more context, because it depends on the number and type of items ordered, the destination state or country, and how fast you need it. So the best way is to add items to cart, and go to Checkout. The shipping costs will be calculated and shown to you before you need to enter any payment details, so you can always cancel the whole thing if shipping becomes too expensive.

So yeah, if you want to know how much shipping would cost, please do as if you were going to order, and you'll see the cost before you make the actual purchase.

Also, note that we offer two shops, one that ships from the US and one that ships from Europe. Depending on where you are you may want to check both and see which one gets you the best deal.

What methods of payment are available?

Methods of payment available are based on the country where the order is received from and the total amount on the bill, but in general, we accept:

Credit card: Your credit card will automatically be charged by our financial service provider. After necessary verifications have been completed your order will then be processed.

PayPal: The transaction will be processed by PayPal, an external financial service provider. During the checkout process you will be redirected to PayPal and pay with your account there. Your data will not be transferred to us. After verifications have been completed by PayPal your order will then be processed. Please note that Paypal payment is not available for all countries. If it's available, you'll see it as an option. Otherwise you won't.

Can I get a discount?

Sure you can! Large orders (70+ products) can benefit from discounts. Please reach out to us with details about your order and we'll give you a quote.

However, you don't necessarily need to place big orders to get a discount. We also offer sporadic discounts for various amounts/items throughout the year. Just stay tuned and check for offers on our product pages or on our twitter. 0-Day Clothing

Do you ship to my country?

Most probably we do! Our customers are mainly from the US but we ship to a lot of other countries too. If you add something to the cart and try to do a checkout, you'll be able to see the dropdown menu of countries we ship to. If your country is listed, then we ship to it!

Also, note that we have two sites, a US one, and an European one, so you may want to check in both, because available destination countries (and shipping costs!) may vary.

Where do you ship from?

Well, it depends on where you buy them from exactly. If you complete your order via our main US site, we'll ship it from the US. If you choose our European site, we'll ship it from Germany. We definitely recommend folks in Europe, Middle East and Africa, to shop from our European site, and everyone else to use the US site.

Will my order go through customs?

This will depend on your local regulation. Depending on which of our two shops you complete your order (US site or European site), we'll ship it from the US or from Germany, respectively.

You should choose the one that will make it easier for the goods to arrive to your door. In general, we recommend that folks in Europe, Middle East and Africa use our European site, and everyone else uses the US site.

Can I display your products/designs in my Film/TV-show/Comic?

Probably yes, but we need to check. We've worked with film and TV producers in the past to grant permission to use our t-shirts and artwork on their movies and shows. If your Art department is looking for some hacker-related products, please check our Licensing and Requests section, or contact us, and provide some details so we can do some paper work to grant the required usage rights.
